We even had a few volunteers organise an impromptu console competition that kicked off in the afternoon.

It was a long day but very successful. We met lots of new people and saw old friends, we talked about the project and how people had heard about it.

For the time being our opening hours are 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday. We’re hoping to extend these as we are able – we’ll be sure to keep you posted. In the mean time pop by for cake or sandwiches – we do them to takeaway if you are popping by in a rush.

You know that feeling you get before Christmas – it’s like butterflies in your tummy or like your insides just want to smile from ear to ear. It’s that anticipation of what’s to come. I’ve got that feeling now. I’m too excited to sleep and know that I’ll be awake really early because of it to. Tomorrow we will be opening our building in Thurlow Street (near Bedford Bus Station/opposite Iceland) to the general public and would love to see you there. At around 10:30am our local MP Alistair Burt will be officially cutting the ribbon and opening the building. We will be open all day and into the evening – so if you can’t come in the morning pop in at lunchtime for a sandwich or mid afternoon for some cake. We have tea coffee and hot chocolate – if you prefer something cold we have a choice of those too. We also have dairy and wheat free biscuits if you have a special diet. We can also do soya milk based coffee if needed – just ask when you place your order. There will be live music from Marc James and face painting too! Hope to see you there!
