Our Project Director, Chris Johnson will soon be setting off on a huge 1000 mile cycle ride from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in the Scottish Highlands. He’s doing it to raise money and awareness for the project and is asking for sponsorship from local individuals and businesses in Bedford.
Chris will be riding alone, with a small support team of his wife, Hannah and his Dad, Peter meeting him in a car to give logistical and catering back up. The trip is expected to take two and a half weeks, beginning on Monday 5th September at Land’s End in Cornwall. Chris, who says he is looking forward to the trip, asks you to, ‘please sponsor me, not for my sake, but for the sake of The Fountain, which is so desperately needed to support the young people in Bedford, especially in the climate of so many cutbacks to existing support provision. The more money we are able to raise through this trip, the sooner we will be able to open the doors to a centre in the town.’
